6 girls traveled to Ithaca this past weekend to compete at Speedo Sectionals. We have not been to this meet since 2019 so it was a great opportunity for us to get back to the bigger meets and gain some valuable experience. The 14 and under Niagara LSC Championships took place in Webster NY March 18th to the 20th. Thirty-six fantastic Titans represented the team in the preliminary / finals event. These swimmers put together nearly 125 personal best times, 30 amazing relays, and eight 14 and under Eastern Zone Cuts. For the first time, the 11 and older swimmers top 30 were able to return to finals and we saw the Titans take full advantage of these opportunities adding numerous faster finals swims! Senior open meet we were able to send over 30 swimmers. We had a large number of 13-14 swimmers that qualified for the open meet which is great for the future of the younger swimmers. Hi Ho Silvers!!!!! A dated reference but all the same the Titans were off and running this past weekend at the Niagara Championship Qualifier at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center. We played host to over 330 athletes and 13 Teams. The Titans sent 73 swimmers to the meet, competing in the three-day, five session event. The Titans braved the elements to swim at the Clarence Dog Days of Winter meet on Saturday, February 19th. This meet gave swimmers one last opportunity to qualify and achieve NICQ (silver) and NI Championship (gold) times. We saw some amazing swims, many that resulted in the achievement of those time cuts (5 NICQ and 6 NI Championship)! The Titans made the trip to Orchard Park High School to swim in TWST’s 25th Snowball open meet Sunday February 6th. We had 28 fantastic swimmers from levels 2 to 6 representing the team in morning session of the meet. We saw some amazing swims from all in attendance! The swimmers piled up a total of 50 personal best times, 17 NICQ (silver) times, 21 NI Championship (gold) times, 6 new events conquered, with only 3 DQ’s to work on! This past weekend the Titans took nearly 80 swimmers to the STAR wintrer challenge meet. We walked away with a ton of best times, some new Silver and Gold qualifiers.We are getting into championship season and the kids look ready to go! We hosted the Titans Holiday Meet at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center Tuesday and Wednesday December 28th & 29th 2021. This was the last swimming opportunity in 2021 and proved to be a great opportunity to see our progress and focus on the things to improve moving ahead!
