This will be the first season of a district-wide merged girls swimming and diving team in Ken-Ton. Nathan Bourke, who also coaches the unified boys’ team, feels this merger – much like the boys – will give the girls the solid numbers they need to compete against the rest of the NFL.
“The East-West merger gives us a strong foundation for 2019 across the board,” Bourke said.
Kenmore will look to a strong cast of juniors Payton Taylor (all strokes), Adrianna Scoma (sprinter) and Bailey Wiegand (fly/IM), as well as sophomores Claire Malkiewicz (breast/IM) and Megan Munro (sprints/strokes) and freshman Emma Jones (500 free).

Thanks to all who volunteered and helped us end the season in such great fashion. The swimmers deserve a big WELL DONE as well! We put this Meet together in the hopes of getting exactly what we saw, hard work paying off! So many swimmers in every level displayed great dedication and hard work this summer, it was no surprise to the coaches to see such improvements!
Stroke development had one swimmer at the meet- Charlotte Nudell! She did a great job in the 25 free and 25 back, way to go!
Level 1 had 6 swimmers at the meet- Nora Bronson, Josie Lyons, Milania Scarpace, Nora Pashler, Bella Fucille and Michael Scibetta. All of our swimmers swam best times and we know it’s because of all of their hard work! Thank you for a great season, we are so proud of our swimmers!
The end of the Summer Meet was a great opportunity for all the kids to show how hard they have been working. Level 2 had 7 swimmers compete in the meet and we had a total of 16 best times. They have put in a lot of hard work this Summer and deserve a nice break off. It was such a great season with everyone and we look forward to seeing you back in the Fall!
Levels 3 & 4 had an awesome end of summer meet! Collectively there were over 70 best times and so many great swims!! We were happy and impressed to see our swimmers tackling new and longer races. Their hard work and dedication over the last couple months has really paid off. We are so proud of both these levels and want to congratulate everyone on a great summer season. Awesome job levels 3 & 4, enjoy your time off!!
Levels 5 & 6 had a tremendous summer training together and had a ton of fun in the process. Many swimmers swam in meets all of July and just as many hadn’t swam a Meet since June. In either case it was apparent they all liked swimming short course again! Amazing efforts from all! Several swimmers tried new events like the 1000 free and 400 IM as well as enjoying the 50s of stroke for a change.
We are all proud of the efforts they put in all summer to make it look so easy at the meet.
Great job and see you all I need September.
Level 7-8 what a great season! We finished out the summer with some great swims highlighted by Natalie Fritsch, Kristiana Clouser, Lauren Devin, Haley Griffin, Lindsay Deboth, Tara DeBoth, Paul Wissel, Chris Signore, Sam Baxter and Victor Fritcsh all posting 4 or more personal best times. Seniors Thanks you for your time with Titans, we wish you the best and we hope to see you around the pool during your breaks and over the summer. Everyone enjoy your break and keep an eye out for email for the upcoming SC season.
