News and Announcements
What an amazing weekend of swimming the Team had at the Niagara LSC Long Course Championships! We sent 49 swimmers to the champs and saw them compile nearly 200 new personal best times! Great effort by all in the meet! We had swimmers come and help out on relays in sessions they didn’t have individual events, return at finals to cheer, and so many put in outstanding efforts in the pool, we were all very proud!
We saw 9 Ten and under swimmers join us in the prelim sessions for their timed finals events and they did a fantastic job! Juliet Bewlay, Kerrington Clouser, Sean Curvin, Grace Griffin, Emmett King, Charles Lorenz, Heather Malkiewicz, Campbell Murphy, Merideth Roberts, and Delilah Winker pulled together for the largest 10 and under group we’ve had a champs in years! The Rays meet was a success & what a great weekend for outside swimming! Stingray swim club had small numbers at this meet but all those in attendance enjoyed some fast swimming in the sun!We had swimmers from Stroke Development-Level 6 present. We sent 24 swimmers hitting 54 best times, 25 new swims, a team record in the 10 and under 200 Fly by Brady Garcia, 10 NI Championship cut times and just 4 DQs. Swimmers were asked to swim fast on little rest between races and did us proud. Watching the Titans get up and really race was exciting! It was the first long course meet for Michael Scibetta, Annabel Tareen, and Andrew Tareen and they all did a fantastic job! From Level 2, we had some first time event swims: Megan Hufnagel (200 free), Owen Scibetta (100 breaststroke), Lucy Nudell (100 free/back). All swimmers demonstrated great skills and adaptability dealing with the sun.
Levels three through six had some amazing performances in the outdoor venue! Several Titans swam all personal bests, Ryan Bronson, Kerrington Clouser, Robert Lorenz, Heather Malkiewicz, and Lucy Nudell could do no wrong in the Cheektowaga Town Park Pool!Every swimmer had a great race, best time, or new swim and learned something about their ability to swim out of their comfort zone! Way to go swimmers and nice work team!
