We are truly blessed to get another Titans Time Trial underour belts as Erie County has seen rising covid numbers and we look at a futurethat is a bit daunting! We want to thank all of the amazing volunteers thatwent the extra mile to sanitize all the chairs and Mask Baskets for the kidsbetween every swim. The Marshalls that helped remind the swimmers to keep thosemasks on at all times not swimming, the Officials that made the meet run sosmooth and made the times all count, and of course all the Titans swimmers and coacheswho did such a great job!

Levels 1 and 2 had 12 swimmers participate in the time trial on Friday. This was the second time they swam in two weeks and everyone did great, especially with only 6 DQs! For not being in the water for that long of a time, everyone swam great! The energy and enthusiasm to be in the was there and everyone looked forward to race again! We have some things to work on, notably with breaststroke, but overall, both levels did an awesome job! We’ll keep getting better, as we’re going to be in the water more often! Keep up the great work everyone!

Level 3 had 6 awesome swimmers come to our time trial this past Friday. We had a total of 3 best times and 10 new swims achieved! Max Carter dropped 12 seconds in the 100 IM, Gretchen Cenczyk had a great 100 IM coming in just under 2 minutes and Brigid Connors showed some real speed in the25 fly & 25 breaststroke! Ameela Patel did a great job in the 100 free with an awesome flutter kick, Lucia Santiago dropped 3 seconds from her personal best in the 25 breaststroke and Gianna Torcello did an amazing job completing her first 100 IM. We are so proud of all the level 3 swimmers, keep up the good work!

Level 4 sent a total of 8 swimmers to the meet who piled up14 personal bests, 3 more new swims and only 1 DQ’s to learn from. Amazing job swimming 2 or 3 events in the short time frame only shows how far they have come since we started! Megan Hufnagel, James Lyons, and Joseph Tacca could do no wrong swimming personal bests with all 3 swims in the quick session, All Level4 swimmers should be proud of the efforts put in and we hope to continue to learn from these great race opportunities.
Level 5 had 18 participants who totaled over 22 new best times and 3 new swims! We had a few DQs, which shows the importance of focusing on the little things during practice, especially our walls and turns! With little rest, it was great to see so many awesome swims and fantastic efforts from our level. We were also so happy to see and hear everyone cheering and rooting each other on! Josie Russom, Reese Marcyan, Owen Gray and Carter Gavigan were able to swim best times in each of their events!! We are so proud of the hard work level5 has been putting in at practice and are happy to see it paying off during these time trials. Keep it up!

Level 6 sent a total of 14 swimmers to the meet who piled up27 personal bests, 4 more new swims and 5 DQ’s to learn from. We saw swimmers stepping up and really applying what they have worked on in practice and everyone had some amazing swims! Unbelievably 4 Titans swam personal bests every time! Congratulations to Meredith Roberts, Sean Labiak, Grace Griffin, and Emma Cwiklinski. Erin Morrissey and Arianna Sidor attempted the 400 IM for the first time and walked away with some valuable experience! Great job Level 6!

Level 7-8 continue to show great improvement not only in the times but in the way we race. Maddy Bronson, Brady Garcia, Campbell Murphy, Lucy Lyons, Maddie Scibetta, Lauren Levy, Aliana Roberts, Finn Crowther, Deanon Kopp, Brie Lorenz, Lila Roeser, Julia Russom, Evan Schraufstetter, Elijah Thompson and Cierra Williams all improved their times. Great Job!!
