Levy Appointed to Junior Swimming Team in 2019 European Maccabi Games
The Tonawanda Titans are proud to announce that Lauren Levy has been appointed to the Junior Swimming Team for the 15th European Maccabi Games.
Philadelphia, PA July 28, 2019 –
Marshall Goldman and Benjamin Zajic, Coaches of Maccabi USA’s junior swimming team have appointed Lauren Levy to be a member of the USA delegation at the upcoming 15th European Maccabi Games which will take place July 28 – August 7, 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. Maccabi USA will bring a team of 200+ athletes who will join the other 2,000 Jewish athletes from 29 countries, participating in 22 different sports.
The Games are hosted by the European Maccabi Confederation. They are conducted in cooperation with Maccabi World Union and are held every four years, two years after the Maccabiah is held. The European Games are a high-level athletic competition for Jewish athletes all over the world aimed at connecting Jews from the Diaspora.
Levy said, “I am so excited to be part of the Maccabi Junior Swim Team, and am looking forward to challenging myself to be my best, meeting new friends, and making memories alongside my Jewish counterparts from around the world.”
